About Programmers of the Future
Programmers Janilda Bartolomeu, Korée Wilrycx and Kseniia Bespalova are among the very first to take part in Eye’s talent-development initiative. For the past 10 months through workshops, expert sessions and meetings with the Eye team, these Programmers of the Future have been inspiring the Eye Filmmuseum to look towards previously underexplored narratives and to gain a glimpse into present and future discourses, as well as to reopen history to a more all-encompasing, holistic reading. Programmers of the Future, scheme for a new generation of film programmers, was launched in 2022 to serve a new, more diverse generation of audiences, artists, and decision-makers, as well as to reflect the need for change in the cultural arena. Programmers of the Future was made possible thanks to support from Fonds 21 Extra.
